Une Skin Matt foundation

Remember that time I reviewed the Une Skin Glow foundation and I found it too light to give enough coverage? Well, since then they have released Skin Matt foundation, which I have been using for over a month and I won't delay reviewing it any further.

The consistency of the foundation is pretty much the same as Skin Glow (light and runny) except it is a teeny weeny bit thicker. When applying it, I find that it spreads quite easily because of how thin it is. At first, I noticed that it dries up fast and can look patchy if not blended quick enough. But overtime, I realised that, just like Skin Glow, you only need to use a small amount. If you use too much foundation then it will look patchy.

Once applied and dry, it gives a matt powdery finish. The good thing about this is that it stops my face from looking shiny. Because I have a combination skin type, it can make certain parts of my face look a little dry so I make sure that I apply moisturiser on these areas first. I can't use powder most of the time because of my skin type so this foundation is a good substitute.

One of the most important features I was hoping for Skin Matt to have is to give enough coverage, especially around the eyes. I was happy to find that I was so pleased with how well it covered any flaws. It was very surprising considering how light the foundation feels.

One of the problems I experienced with Skin Glow is that it rubs off easily. As Skin Matt dries to a powdery finish, it doesn't rub off unless I wipe my face. Other than that, it stays on all day long without even a primer or powder. That doesn't mean that it is difficult to remove either. Soap and water is enough to wash it all of at the end of the day.

At first, I thought that £12.49 is a bit much for a foundation but considering you only need to use a small amount, I would considerate it good value for money. Look out for any instore offers as they have lots of them. At the moment you get a free Green Beauty Bible when you spend £15 on Une products at Boots.

Overall, I am really happy with this foundation. It really does give a flawless finish that lasts all day. This has replaced the Skin Glow foundation in my make up bag for the moment, which I think I'll reserve for summertime.

If you're thinking of trying it, you'll find it at Boots and Superdrug along with the rest of their range.

i just bought this foundation and love it too :]

i was previously using l'oreal infallible in vanilla but got the 2nd palest shade in this one and it's just right.

i also have combination skin and find it gives me just the right amount of coverage without making me feel like i have 5 tons of make up on.

lovely!
