Use soap? Shampoo? Lipstick? Then you NEED to see this!
This is why I have stopped using synthetic products and why I will never promote them again on my blog (Yep, you read that correctly!)...
Don't worry. This doesn't mean that we are doomed and can't even use a bar a soap for the rest of our lives. Safe cosmetics are out there! I will do my best to review safe and natural cosmetics and toiletries on my blog.

I was really moved to do something after watching that short film too (I wrote about it here: http://www.lifeyouimagine.com/2010/08/scary-cosmetics-industry-i/). Like you, I used the cosmetic database, and I went through all of our cosmetics and personal care products. You know, we were left with almost nothing!! One of the biggest concerns for me is that because so many products containing these chemicals, when we use them all it has to add up to lot that we are putting on and in our bodies.
Thanks for the comment. I'm glad people are starting to take notice of these things and stop feeding the large corporations who only care about money and not our wellbeing.
I agree, it might not be a big deal using one chemical but when there are so many chemicals in one product and we use so many products in our daily lives then who knows how they will react in our bodies! And these chemicals can have a negative impact on wildlife and the environment too. It's better to be safe than sorry! x
